Sigenergy Battery Storage Installation Cornwall - Approved Sigenergy Installers

We’re one of Cornwall’s approved Sigenergy installers, bringing the same personal, no-pressure service to Sigenergy’s all-in-one SigenStor system that we’ve always offered on Tesla Powerwall. Not every installer will tell you when a different brand suits your home better - we will.

One Box, Five Jobs Done

SigenStor combines the solar inverter, battery, EV charger, and energy management system into a single unit. Fewer boxes on your wall, fewer connection points, and one system that already knows how to talk to an EV charger if you add one later.

Built to Grow With You

Sigenergy’s battery modules are stackable, plug-and-play, and can scale from a single small module right up to a 54kWh system. Start with what you need now and add capacity later without replacing what you’ve already got.

Independent Advice, Not a Sales Script

We’re not tied to Sigenergy, Tesla, or any single manufacturer. When a customer’s home, budget, or goals point toward Sigenergy over Powerwall (or the other way round), we say so - and we install both to the same standard.

Why Cornwall Homes Are Choosing Sigenergy?

Sigenergy’s SigenStor is one of the newer names in home battery storage, but it’s built around a genuinely different idea: instead of a separate inverter, battery, and EV charger all fighting for wall space and talking to each other through third-party software, SigenStor bundles the lot into one system with its own energy management brain.

For Cornwall homes, that shows up in a few practical ways. The battery is modular, LFP (lithium iron phosphate) cells stacked in 5–10kWh units, so we can size a system precisely to a household’s usage rather than rounding up to the nearest off-the-shelf capacity. And because the system is IP66 rated and rated to operate from –20°C to 60°C, it copes with wall or floor mounting indoors or outdoors, which matters when we’re working around Cornwall’s older properties and tighter utility spaces.

SigenStor:
What’s Actually in the Box

  • Maximum capacity: Scalable up to 54kWh for larger homes or properties with higher demand
  • Efficiency: Up to 98% peak efficiency
Monitoring: mySigen app, with AI-assisted energy planning

Sigenergy for Cornwall’s Coastal Climate

Cornwall’s mix of older rural properties and coastal weather means flexibility matters. SigenStor’s IP66 rating and wide operating temperature range mean it can go indoors or outdoors depending on where space allows, useful in period properties where an airing cupboard or garage isn’t always available. And because the battery modules stack rather than requiring a single large unit, we can often fit a Sigenergy system into spaces where a bulkier all-in-one wouldn’t work.

The modular approach also suits Cornwall’s varied household sizes well. A smaller home or holiday let might only need a single 5kWh module, while a larger property with an EV, solar, and higher daily usage can scale up to the full 54kWh system, all from the same product line and without switching brands.

We were recommended Wired by Jessops from our neighbour that had a solar installation last year. From start to completion we were really happy with the level of professionalism and expertise that Jessops offered, we did the usual three quotes despite Jessops being ever so slightly more expensive than the cheapest quote it seemed a obvious choice to go with them for our 6Kw system , with the battery top up we now run our EV off this too.Since having our home installation we then went ahead with a 40kw system on our commercial unit that we financed through Jessops too.Joe and the team were brilliant and being a little OCD I needed the finish to be impeccable and they delivered on this too.I can’t recommend this company enough !

Recently had an inverter and battery installed and I'm very pleased both with the service and the product. Joe and the team were excellent from start to finish and really took into consideration our requirements both for the product and the install and location.

Sigenergy Battery Storage FAQs

What is Sigenergy SigenStor?
SigenStor is Sigenergy’s all-in-one home energy system, combining a hybrid solar inverter, battery storage, energy management system, and an optional built-in EV charging module in a single unit. It’s designed to reduce the number of separate boxes and connection points a typical solar-plus-battery-plus-EV-charger setup would otherwise need.
Is Sigenergy as good as Tesla Powerwall?
Both are genuinely strong systems, and the right choice depends on your home and goals. Tesla Powerwall offers a fixed, fully integrated unit with a long track record. Sigenergy’s SigenStor is more modular, letting you scale capacity in smaller steps and add EV charging into the same system. We install both and will give you a straight answer on which suits your property, not just the one we’d rather sell.
How much battery capacity do I need with Sigenergy?
Because Sigenergy’s modules stack in increments, we size this to your actual usage during a site visit rather than rounding up to a fixed capacity. Most Cornwall homes land somewhere between one and three modules, but larger properties or those adding an EV can scale well beyond that.
What warranty does Sigenergy come with?
Sigenergy backs SigenStor with a manufacturer warranty covering the battery and inverter, with a guaranteed minimum capacity retention after 10 years. We’ll confirm the exact warranty terms and any extension options for your specific configuration during your consultation.
Can Sigenergy work with an EV charger?
Yes. SigenStor has an optional built-in EV DC charging module, meaning your battery, solar, and EV charging can run from one integrated system rather than three separate ones. If you’re considering an EV charger alongside battery storage, this is worth discussing during your site visit.
Do I need planning permission for Sigenergy in Cornwall?
Like most home battery storage, Sigenergy installations typically fall under permitted development rights for most Cornwall properties. Planning permission is only usually required in Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty or for listed buildings. We advise on this during your consultation.
